Championing raising the profile of the professional cleaning industry

All too often the cleaning industry is seen to be short-termist, low paying and low skilled, and workforces are often ‘invisible’ to those outside of the sector. In reality, the profession plays a vital role in maintaining buildings, company image and ensuring harmful bacteria doesn’t spread. The professional cleaning sector employs millions of people across Europe and there is a tremendous amount of great work being carried out, and high standards that have previously gone unseen.

So how do we live up to the challenge of making sure the industry receives the recognition it rightly deserves? We must share success stories and highlight best practice. For this prestigious award, judges were looking for evidence of campaigns and initiatives designed to increase awareness of the importance and benefits of using professional cleaning services and products.

The winner of the award for 2019, announced at the ceremony held on 17th October, was the Lucart Group – congratulations to them and to all the winners and those short-listed across all the categories.
