Build awareness and reinforce SugaRich’s position as a UK leader in the recycling of surplus food products.

Communications activity

A short initial press relations campaign was undertaken to achieve the above objective. The focus was to secure in depth feature articles within the food manufacturing and recycling/waste management press to target those responsible for surplus food management. All press materials developed positioned SugaRich as an expert in recycling surplus food products and legislative compliance and included reference to the company’s total waste management division, SugaRecycle.


To date, in depth articles have been published in Materials Recycling World, Biscuit World, Grain and Feed Milling Technology, The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management magazine and European Cleaning Journal. These pieces also included supporting images of SugaRich’s services. A site visit is due to take place with the editor of Food Processing magazine, which will lead to an in depth profile of SugaRich and its services within the magazine.

Press coverage published to date has reached a potential audience of 54,550 with an equivalent advertising rate of £14,973. The campaign is on-going and multiple media opportunities have been identified for the first two quarters of 2013.
