SugaRich expands with the acquisition of JD Bamber

Pressing forward with its commitment to sustainability and growth in UK market, SugaRich acquires JD Bamber Ltd.

We are thrilled to announce that SugaRich has successfully acquired the former food processing business of JD Bamber Ltd in Preston. This facility will now operate under the SugaRich brand.

This acquisition aligns with our strategic vision to expand our footprint and strengthens our position as one of Europe’s leading businesses in the former foods sector.

For over 50 years, SugaRich has been at the forefront of the recovered food industry, pioneering collection methods, advanced technologies, and sustainable systems that help food manufacturers minimise waste, repurpose surplus, and reduce environmental impact.

As a leader in developing the alternative feed market, SugaRich is the natural choice as a supplier of feed material for inclusion in high performance livestock feeds and food producers seeking to maximise returns. Alternative feeding solutions are increasingly vital as farmers aim to enhance sustainability, boost productivity, and improve herd health to meet future challenges.

It is clear that consolidation in the food and feed sector is accelerating, aligning with our growth strategy. We remain committed to expanding our UK presence and delivering innovative solutions for surplus foodstuffs to a broader customer base,” said Alex Keogh, Managing Director of SugaRich.

This marks an exciting milestone for SugaRich and reinforces our dedication to the co-products industry. We are proud to welcome a fantastic supplier network and a loyal customer base and are committed to building upon this strong foundation. By integrating our industry-leading technology and processes, we aim to create a larger, stronger, and more dynamic business.

“This move not only strengthens our presence in the UK but also reinforces our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the co-products industry. We are excited to welcome new partners and customers and look forward to building a stronger, more dynamic business together,” said Andy Newton, CEO of the SugaRich Group

In the coming weeks, we will transition the JD Bamber production operations into SugaRich sites. We look forward to continuing to serve the longstanding customers with the exceptional products they have come to thttps://www.sugarich.co.uk/rust under the dedicated leadership of Jim Bamber.
