SoundPLAN, a global leader in noise simulation software and services, will be showcasing its advanced noise modeling and mapping solutions, as well as its consulting services at Inter-Noise 2025. GROM Acústica & Vibração, SoundPLAN’s distribution partner in Brazil, will also present technical papers that explore how aircraft noise can be better understood and managed. This is based on noise mapping projects carried out at airports in Brazil, using SoundPLAN software.
Under the theme ‘Connections for a Better Sounding World’, the 54th International Congress & Exhibition of Noise Control Engineering (InterNoise 2025) will take place from August 24 to 27 at the WTC Events Center & Sheraton WTC Hotel, in São Paulo, Brazil. The event brings together acoustics experts, researchers and industry leaders to collaborate on solutions that improve the sound environment, ranging from architecture and transport to environmental noise and biodiversity.
Noise Mapping Software
Attendees visiting the exhibition area will be able to learn more about SoundPLAN’s wide range of noise mapping software, consulting services and expert technical reports. This includes the latest edition of its market-leading software for indoor and outdoor noise analysis, SoundPLANnoise version 9.1. Designed for high-quality noise modeling, from simple studies to large, complex projects, this update incorporates a host of new features and enhancements to modeling noise levels and dispersion, helping to prevent its harmful effects.
The team will also present the latest update to the SoundPLANessential noise mapping software, version 6.0. This is designed for standard noise reporting, for small-scale developments or occasional projects. In addition, the team will present the latest version of Sarooma DesktopApp version 2.5.1 for room acoustics calculations.
Aeronautical noise control
GROM Acústica & Vibração, SoundPLAN’s distribution partner in Brazil, will present projects on:
In these projects, the SoundPLAN software is used to simulate operations and calculate aircraft noise at Congonhas and RIOgaleão airports in Brazil. This is done by combining a geometric model with data from actual flight paths. With this data and using mapping software, it is possible to calculate the noise emissions of each flight that takes off or lands at airports and its impact on the surrounding areas.
