Chartered Practitioners Register (CPR) a finalist in CSSA/CHSA Innovation Showcase 2025

The Chartered Practitioners Register (CPR), which is facilitated by the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC) under Royal Charter, has been named a finalist in the prestigious CSSA/CHSA Innovation Showcase 2025. The CPR has been selected as a finalist in the Knowledge Enhancement Category.

The CPR is a significant development for the cleaning industry, aimed at recognising the high standards and ongoing proficiency of individuals in [environmental] cleaning. The Register allows cleaning and Facilities Management professionals who satisfy the application criteria, to achieve chartered status; they earn the right to use the post nominals Ch.Env.Clean. Admittance to the Register demonstrates to clients, employers, peers, and the public an ability to perform at a high standard and a commitment to continuing professional development.

The CSSA/CHSA Innovation Showcase celebrates the most innovative products, services, and initiatives that address social, political, and environmental challenges, as well as existing market issues. The event will take place at the Cleaning Show in London from 18-20 March 2025. The WCEC will have a stand for the entire week at the show, offering opportunities for attendees to learn more about the CPR and explore how they can take their own applications to the Register forward.

The Chartered Practitioners Register was initially launched at the Cleaning Show in 2021, where senior members of the WCEC led the way for others to follow. The Chartership scheme is now available nationwide to the entire cleaning industry.

The winners of the Innovation Showcase will also be celebrated at the Metsä 2025 Sustainability Awards Ceremony.
