Exceptional programme of speakers, features and suppliers marks the start of Facilities Show 2018

The new Occupational Health and Well-being Theatre and exhibitor zone provides one of the many thought-provoking features of Facilities 2018, as it opens its doors at ExCel, London today.Set to receive over 11,000 global cleaning and FM professionals over the three day event, the show champions the sector, seeks to change perceptions, drive excellence and encourage strong leadership.

Once again, a line-up of renowned speakers will headline a new look seminar programme in the Keynote Theatre to inspire and motivate the FM sector:

  • Tuesday 19th June (11.30am) – Comedian and mental health expert, Ruby Wax OBE, advises how to create an open, honest and successful culture.
  • Wednesday 20th June (1pm) – Nicky Moffat CBE, formerly the British Army’s highest ranking female officer, provides experience-based insight on strong leadership.
  • Thursday 21st June (11.30am) – English rugby legend and management pioneer, Sir Clive Woodward OBE discusses key attributes needed to create a winning team.

The Facilities Management Theatre programme splits each day into three key themes – the workplace, technology and people. This includes presentations and panel discussions on issues including workplaces of the future, security, delivering top class FM on a budget, technology, diversity, skills, recruitment and recognition.

Visitors to the Facilities Show 2018With over 300 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, visitors can find the right solution for their specific needs. The event covers all FM sectors from cleaning, maintenance and gritting, to mechanical and electrical, energy and waste management, catering and more. At this year’s show, BIFM will be hosting a free Smart Client Programme to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to make smart procurement decisions.

The show, in association with the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and CBRE, provides multiple networking opportunities, including the Facilities Show Sports Bar. Back by popular demand, the new and improved FM Games Arcade provides the ideal space for friendly competition and networking with peers.

Running alongside Facilities Show is the highly acclaimed Smartworking Summit. Organised by Quora Consulting, the Summit considers the impact of the changing nature of work and the intertwined roles of HR, IT, Property and Management cultures.

Free to attend, Facilities Show 2018 is co-located with five other industry leading shows: IFSEC International; Field Service Management Expo; Safety & Health Expo; FIREX International; and Professional Clothing Show. The shows cater for those working across many departments, including building management, and the protection and safety of people.
