Cleaning Interactive champions safe networking, collaboration and sharing innovation and infection control expertise

Cleaning Interactive, the cleaning industry’s first high-tech event incorporating visualisation technology, will showcase a wealth of innovation and practical infection control insight. Free to attend, the virtual event takes place 6-7 October.

The event will enable the cleaning industry to boost business in a safe and effective format. Kärcher UK, the world’s largest manufacturer of cleaning machines, is the headline sponsor of the show.

The Interactive Stage is a special feature of Cleaning Interactive and a world first for the cleaning industry, with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for an almost full sensory experience. Flexible format sessions will also be delivered via the Indie Stage.

Exhibitors will display the latest technology, innovations and practical solutions to current challenges. Visitors can watch demos, schedule face to face appointments, try the scavenger hunt trail, designed to encourage interaction between visitors and exhibitors, and get social in the networking lounge. They can also fill their swag bag with informative documents, courtesy of sponsor, Metzger, which specialises in search and selection, as well as business search consultancy.

Event participants

Many of the key players in the international cleaning industry are participating in this new showcase, with more set to follow. These include the British Institute of Cleaning Science; Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies; CBRE; Churchill Group Services; Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA); Denis Rawlins; Facilicom UK and Ireland; GOJO Industries-Europe; The Hillbrush Company; Incentive QAS; Katrin; Metsä; Metzger; the National Carpet Cleaners Association; Purex®; SAVORTEX® ; SiteZone Safety; The Cheeky Panda; Unger; and the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners.

A key theme of the show is infection prevention and control. Exhibitor, Metsä Tissue will be sharing the ‘Katrin Clean & Green’ hygiene message, with handwashing and drying a key tool in the fight against infections.

Unger, leading manufacturer of professional cleaning tools and equipment is exhibiting its portfolio at the event. Dietmar Bernstein, Senior Marketing Manager at Unger said: “COVID-19 presents major challenges for the cleaning industry, and it requires new ways of cleaning as well as new ways of getting together. We at Unger are proud to be part of the world-first purely digital showcase of our industry, and we look forward to meeting with professional visitors in this innovative format in order to present our company as well as latest product innovation. The exchange with our customers, users of our product and industry professionals is vital to our brand and to our business.”

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, exhibitor Denis Rawlins has created a simple, yet effective three-step cleaning regime that not only removes traces of the virus, but also prevents an environment from further infection in the future. The ‘Remove, Improve, Protect, strategy encourages a science-led, results-driven approach to cleaning, stepping away from the traditional over-reliance on disinfectants, mops and wipes.

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) will be highlighting the importance of working together as an industry to keep cleaning and hygiene top of the agenda. Visitors to their virtual stand can find out more about how BICSc membership and training can benefit their organisation. This is also a great opportunity to learn more about the latest version of The Cleaning Professional’s Skills Suite (CPSS), and the new CPSS App, BICSc Standards and much more.

Competitions to celebrate industry trailblazers

Visitors have the chance to see and vote for the most innovative apps designed to aid cleaning and hygiene in the free ‘Battle of the Apps’ competition. Shortlisted organisations will demo their apps at a live webinar at the event. Demos will last between 3-5 minutes. The audience will vote for their favourite, with results displayed on screen as soon as the poll ends.

The final of the ‘Meet the Buyer’ competition will also take place to celebrate industry trailblazers. A panel of high-profile buyers will invite 20 companies to hone their pitches and take part in a competition for the accolade of best innovation. This will culminate in five finalists presenting privately, live to the buyers on the Interactive Stage, with top contracts on offer.
