Julius Rutherfoord & Co Wins Golden Service Award for Best Cleaned Premises, Large Education Establishment

London specialist in secure commercial cleaning, Julius Rutherfoord & Co has won a Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Award for ‘Best Cleaned Premises, Large Education Establishment.’ The prestigious accolade was awarded for its contract with Merton College, and presented at the ceremony on Thursday, 8 March at the London Hilton.

The contract cleaning provider has been working in partnership with Merton College since 2006 to deliver a clean and safe learning environment for over 21,000 students. One of the most impactful innovations brought to the college is the use of the InnuScience biotechnology range of professional cleaning products. This provides superior performance and productivity, whilst being cost-effective, people-friendly, and responsible to the environment.

Site security is a prime focus, supported by a suite of systems including Julius Rutherfoord & Co’s award-winning contract management app. This enables all aspects of the contract, including health and safety reporting and quality, to be managed and communicated back to the client in real time.

The meticulously trained cleaning team sign into the premises through a biometric time and attendance system. This means the college can be sure only authorised people have access to their building and a professional service is delivered to specification, cost-effectively and securely.

Julius Rutherfoord & Co was also highly commended at the awards ceremony in the ‘Best Cleaned Premises for Office areas below 250,000 sq. ft’. This was for its contract with world-leading research and academic publisher, Springer Nature, caring for its campus office in North London. Flexibility and partnership are a must for this vibrant, evolving workspace.

From hundreds of entries, Julius Rutherfoord & Co was chosen as a finalist in a further three categories:

  • Healthcare Establishment with fewer than 250 beds – for client St Stephen’s Aids Trust with St Stephen’s Clinical Research.
  • Hospitality Award – for client The Salvation Army, Sunbury Court
  • Industry Training Award – At its Tramshed home in Battersea.

Julius Rutherfoord & Co operations director Chris Parkes said: “We are passionate about working in partnership with our clients to support their needs and deliver a secure and spotless environment throughout the working day. We are delighted, therefore, to have won a prestigious Golden Service award, and to have been highly commended in a second category. Our expert, tailored approach to meeting the needs of our discerning clients is a winning formula!”
