Cromwell Polythene gets wrapped up in food safety and sustainability

Cromwell Polythene – one of the UK’s leading supplier of sacks, bags and speciality products for the storage and collection of waste and recyclables – is now a member of the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA).

The FPA brings together manufacturers and distributors of packaging used to serve and prepare food and beverages on the go with the UK’s foodservice retailers and caterers.

Cromwell Polythene Managing Director James Lee said, “We share common goals with the FPA. At Cromwell Polythene we are committed to supplying fit for purpose products with the lowest environmental impact for a net ecological gain. The FPA promotes the responsible manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, usage and disposal of foodservice packaging.

“We already have several customers working in this important sector and our membership will help us develop relationships, while playing our part in supporting the FPA’s campaigning and Environment Programme.”

All members of the FPA agree to abide by the FPA Code of Practice and confirm their products meet relevant legislation and regulations and that they hold accreditations and evidence required for the claims they make. This gives customers increased confidence when purchasing from an FPA member.
